Online Consultancy

How It Works

'You can't learn self-defence online' is a statement we hear a lot. Much like 'men can't teach women self-defence'.  But we have the evidence to show that's wrong. In fact, it's so wrong, the advice could be dangerous.

If you live in an ideal world where you have access to expert training, on your doorstep, tailored to your exact needs, for a reasonable price, then you wouldn't be reading this now.

We strongly believe when you don't have those options available, then the next best thing is training that is delivered in the right way, by the right people, with the right skills, even if its online.

If we consider that a huge part of violence prevention and self-protection is developing your mindset and combining with effective strategies, then why can't it be taught online? Well, it can, and we know it can because we have done it.

Below are some reasons we think online training can work as a strong substitute:

  • Personal and specific to you
  • Provides a higher level of privacy for sensitive topics
  • Convenient for people who cannot travel due to physical or emotional issues
  • Removes geographical barriers
  • Reduces costs and travel time
  • Can be better suited for vulnerable individuals.
  • Appointments can be scheduled more easily around work and family commitments

There are of course some disadvantages and limitations, as shown below:

  • The inability to perform hands-on activity can challenge some clients - However you may wish to choose a friend or family member to support your learning.
  • It is harder to read body language and subtle emotional cues, which can limit the depth of the interaction and response.
  • Some clients may feel a greater sense of distance and less rapport compared to being in the same room with the trainer and other clients.

Note: None of the training offered will be delivered by recording. It is all live, real conversations to enable totally personalised training.
