For New or Existing Instructors

Running you own martial arts club or self-defence group can be challenging, especially trying to find the balance between running a business, keeping people interested, and giving all of your clients what they need individually.

We can help review your club structure, your training methods, syllabus, future goals and safety practices both mentally and physically, to ensure you are providing the best service you can.

Note: We understand this can be a vulnerable experience for instructors and club owners. However, there will be complete discretion between us and your club.

How Can a Man Teach a Women to Protect Themselves?

This a question every woman should ask, it's a good question, but the answer is often very misinformed and sounds something like "Well they just can't". I like to challenge this as not always being the case, and so would many other well informed and experienced female expert instructors I have trained with or been taught by.

I'll never fully understand someone else's life regardless of their gender. But I have worked with, lived with, raised, trained and shared experiences with, been taught by, listened to, and helped women for many years, and therefore know what matters for the people helping them, and it's not always their gender.

What's important is their listening skills, ability to understand the differences between men and women, and design training accordingly. They need dedication to researching violence and the responses to it, understanding how the body keeps the score as a result from trauma, meeting their individual needs and allowing them to recover, learn, grow and build confidence in a safe environment.
